Me with Hibo Wardere and my portraits of FGM survivors at the Houses of Parliament in 2016.

About

I’m an artist and illustrator. I graduated from Norwich School of Art with a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration, and after almost 20 years in London I now live by the seaside in Hastings with my husband and our two cats.

I create hand-painted illustrations for my own range of prints, greetings cards, mugs and calendars, and undertake commissions for portraits, homes, pets and Little Free Libraries.

I also use my art to raise awareness, to connect and inform people and start conversations around difficult subjects such as FGM, childlessness, mental health, menopause, and refugees. In 2016 my four portraits of FGM survivors were exhibited at the Houses of Parliament and the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, East London.

I have exhibited at various venues including the Mall Gallery in London and the Hastings Museum and Art Gallery.

I’m currently working on painting portraits celebrating menopausal women for a future exhibition - dates and venue to be confirmed.
